Today excursion tour to Belur & Halebid Temples. Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire . The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex. With Halebid which is only 16 km away, Here there are two most famous architectural monuments of Hoysala times namely the Kedareshvara temple and the Hoysaleshvara temple.

Day 01: Bangalore – Coorg (6 Hrs)

On arrival take an immediate transfer to Coorg. Arrival & check in at Hotel. Kodagu, also called Coorg, is a district in Karnataka. Coorg is known for its hospitability of people and beautiful scenery. Tourists get fascinated by colourful scenery, wooded slopes, undulating landscape and quaint villages of Coorg.

Day 02: Coorg

After Breakfast Enjoy some of the Optional Activities . Coorg is an ideal place for outdoor activities, food and shopping. Trekking: Coorg has many verdant trekking routes in the midst of forests and hills. Golf: Avid golfers can tee off at the 9-hole course of Virajpet. Angling: Valanoor is the backwater of the river Cauvery & angling can be enjoyed here. White Water Rafting: There are few good camps around Coorg that offer rafting down the Cauvery river. Shopping: Some of the popular items to buy are coffee, honey, spices, cardamom, pepper, pineapple papads and oranges ( season). Coorgi silk saree are also very famous and they have a different style of wearing them.

Day 03: Coorg Local Sightseeing

After Breakfast move to visit the sightseeing around Medikeri including Abbey Falls – Abbey Falls, 8 km from Madikeri. The roar of the falls can be heard from the main road, from where a path goes through lovely coffee and cardamom plantations right up to them. The chirping of innumerable birds which are easier heard then seen, fill the air with sweet music, Omkareshwar Temple – Located at the heart of the Town, Omkareshwara temple was built by king Lingarajendra in 1820. The temple has both Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. He brought a Shivalinga from Kashi, and the temple was built . Museum, Raja’s Seat – This is a small square in brick and mortar of four pillars bridged by arches, enhanced by beautiful surroundings. This spot was a favorite place of recreation for the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west..Medikeri Fort – This fort was first built by Mudduraja in the last quarter of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. There is a famous Lord Ganesha temple known as “Kote ganapathi” just at the main entrance of the fort.

Day 04: Coorg – Bandipur (4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast check out & take a transfer to Bandipur . On arrival check in Hotel. Remaining day to enjoy the jungle safari. Overnight stay at Bandipur.

It is a fissure made by a corner of rock splitting off from the main body due to some natural causes. The depth of both the cleft and the fissure is 30 ft. What makes it a cave to the ordinary observer is the fact that in the other portion of the large cleft, an enormous rock, weighing several tonns, has fallen forming a roof over a large part of it. Soochippara Waterfall – The stretches of waterfalls ranging at places from 100 to 300 feet height are a treat to the eyes. The pool below provides for water rafting, swimming, bathing, etc. The tree top huts at Soochippara give a unique view of the valleys of the Western Ghats and the glimmering shallow waters of the surrounding spring. Day 03: Wayanad – Coorg (5 Hrs)

On arrival take an immediate transfer to Coorg. Arrival & check in at Hotel. Kodagu, also called Coorg, is a district in Karnataka. After Breakfast Enjoy some of the Optional Activities . Coorg is an ideal place for outdoor activities, food and shopping. Trekking: Coorg has many verdant trekking routes in the midst of forests and hills. Golf: Avid golfers can tee off at the 9-hole course of Virajpet. Angling: Valanoor is the backwater of the river Cauvery & angling can be enjoyed here. White Water Rafting: There are few good camps around Coorg that offer rafting down the Cauvery river. After Breakfast move to visit the sightseeing around Medikeri including Abbey Falls – Abbey Falls, 8 km from Madikeri. The roar of the falls can be heard from the main road, from where a path goes through lovely coffee and cardamom plantations right up to them. The chirping of innumerable birds which are easier heard then seen, fill the air with sweet music, Omkareshwar Temple – Located at the heart of the Town, Omkareshwara temple was built by king Lingarajendra in 1820. The temple has both Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. He brought a Shivalinga from Kashi, and the temple was built . Museum, Raja’s Seat – This is a small square in brick and mortar of four pillars bridged by arches, enhanced by beautiful surroundings. This spot was a favorite place of recreation for the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west..Medikeri Fort – This fort was first built by Mudduraja in the last quarter of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. There is a famous Lord Ganesha temple known as “Kote ganapathi” just at the main entrance of the fort.

Day 02: Wayanad Local sightseeing

Today cover local sight seeing Wayanad which covers View points : Pookot Lake – It is a natural fresh water lake, brimmed with ever green mountains. There is an aquarium and a green house here. Boating facilities are also available, Lakkidi – One of the highest locations in Wayanad, Lakkidi also commands a picturesque scenery. The 12 kms.long journey from Adivaram to Lakkidi through ghat road with nine hairpin bends amidst thick forests, is a fascinating experience., Edakkal Caves – it is only ‘a cleft about 96 ft. long and 22 ft. wide in the rock’. Enroute Visit Dubare Elephant Camp – This is mainly an elephant capturing and training camp of the Forest Department, at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of river Kaveri, on the Kushalnagar – Siddapur road. The largest land animal is captured here with the help of tamed elephants and local tribals – the Kurbas – and is held captive for upto 6 months in large teak wood cages & Bylakuppe – Bylakuppe in Kodagu ( Coorg ) of Karnataka is one of the many Tibetan settlements in India. To be precise, this was the first such refugee settlement established way back in. Arrival at Kabini & check in to Hotel. Kabini the most famous wildlife destination located at Karnataka. Mysore is a major tourist city of Karnataka. The city was the erstwhile capital of the state and hence has played an important role in the history of the state and of South India.
In the evening, The Krishnaraj Sagar Dam and the adjoining Brindavan Gardens are worth visiting. The Brindavan Gardens is one of its kinds in the country. It is famous all over for its colorfully lit dancing fountains that come alive once the sun sets.

Day 02: Mysore Sightseeing

Cover local sightseeing of Mysore including visit to Maharaja’s Palace – Mysore Palace or the Mysore Maharaja Palace is located in the heart of the city. And its one of the largest palaces in the country, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, was the residence of the Wodeyar Maharaja’s of the Mysore state. St. Philomena’s Church – This beautiful St.Philomena’s Church was built in 1956 and is one of the largest churches in the country. The illuminated church in the evening is a wonderful site not to be missed. St. Philomena’s Cathedral is among the most majestic churches in India, Chamundi Hill – Chamundi Hills can be viewed from a distance of about 8 to 10 kms and from all the corners of Mysore City. Chamundeshwari temple is situated on the top of Chamundi hill which is about 3,489 ft. above sea level and located at a distance of 13 kms. from Mysore , Mysore Zoo – The Mysore Zoo is the oldest Zoo in the country and was set up by Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar in 1892. Mysore Zoo is a pleasant experience also because most animals are kept in well spaced enclosures and it’s a delight to see them move around freely., Jaganmohan Palace – The Jaganmohan Palace was built during rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861, as an alternate retreat for the royal family. The Mysore Palace, which was the original home of the royal family, was burnt down in a fire and the construction of a new palace in its place was started in the year 1897, etc.

Day 03: Mysore – Ooty (4 ½ Hrs) / Coonoor (5 Hrs Drive)

Check out from the hotel & proceed to Ooty.

Day 04: Ooty Sightseeing

Cover the sightseeing of Ooty including visit to Dodabetta Peak – Doddabetta Peak is the highest vantage point in Ooty, located at around 2,623 m. This peak is regarded as one of the highest peaks in South India, which lies at the junction of the Eastern and Western Ghats, Botanical Gardens – A wide variety of exotic and ornamental plants adorn this garden. There is also a beautiful Italian floral garden and for those who simply want to relax, there’s always the green carpet of the well-maintained lawns. etc. Boating can be enjoyed on the placid Ooty Lake – Ooty Lake is an artificial lake, formed by John Sullivan, the founder of Ooty, in 1824. The artificial lake was formed by the mountain streams flowing down Ooty valley. The entire lake is surrounded by eucalyptus trees that add to its beauty.

Day 03: ThekkadyDay 05: Coonoor sightseeing

Cover the sightseeing of Coonoor – Coonoor lies in the Nilgiri district and is located at an altitude of 1800 metres above sea level. This second largest hill station in the Nilgiri, after Ooty, is perfect base for trekking expeditions. The city of Coonoor also has the regimental headquarters of the Madras Regiment of the Indian Army. including visit to the Tea Gardens & Estates – There are multiple tea plantations in the hill station that produce fresh green tea leaves., Sim’s Park – Sim’s Park is the main tourist attraction in the town, which is basically a botanical garden with different varieties of plants. Moreover, this park hosts a Fruit Show during the summer months. etc.

Day 06: Ooty – Kodaikanal (7 Hrs Drive)

Check out & proceed to Kodaikanal : Its is a unique place. Rows and rows of silky pine trees sloping down to clear, cold streams, spectacular views which suddenly disappear in foamy mist, people bundled up in sweaters and overcoats. We seek peace quiet in a hill station, not the noise and fume of factories.
Arrival at Kodaikanal & check in Hotel. Remaining day to relax.

Day 07: Kodaikanal Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to cover the local sightseeing which includes some attractive points like Coaker’s Walk – A kilometre’s walk from the lake. It derives the name Lt. Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodai. Coaker’s Walk runs along a steep, emerald green wooded slope. Tiger Leap, Bryant’s Park – This park is situated on the eastern side of the lake. It is noted for flowers, hybrids and grafts, Cut flowers are exported from here, Green Valley View – It is about 5.5 Kms from the lake and located very close to Golf club, it commands a beautiful view of entire vaigai dam, As the valley is very deep, dense and dangerous, recommended to see with precautionary measures., Pillar Rocks – It is about 7.4 Kms from the lake. Three boulders stand shoulder to shoulder vertically measuring of about 122 meters providing a beautiful view. It has a mini garden, Bear Shola Falls – An ideal picnic spot 1.6-km from bus stand and within 2 Kms of the lake, where once bears came to drink water.& Lake – A magnificent star-shaped lake glitters like a jewel amidst the emerald green wooded slopes. Day 01: Arrive at Bangalore Drive to Chikmagalur (6 Hrs Drive)

Arrival at Bangalore & drive to Chikmaglur & check in to Hotel. Chikmagalur situated in southwestern part of Karnataka, it is nestled in the Baba Budan hills. Day 02: Chikmagalur

Today excursion tour to Belur & Halebid Temples. Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire . The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex. With Halebid which is only 16 km away, Here there are two most famous architectural monuments of Hoysala times namely the Kedareshvara temple and the Hoysaleshvara temple.

Day 03: Chikmagalur – Kabini (4 Hrs Drive)

After Breakfast proceed to Kabini. Enroute Visit Dubare Elephant Camp – This is mainly an elephant capturing and training camp of the Forest Department, at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of river Kaveri, on the Kushalnagar – Siddapur road. The largest land animal is captured here with the help of tamed elephants and local tribals – the Kurbas – and is held captive for upto 6 months in large teak wood cages & Bylakuppe – Bylakuppe in Kodagu ( Coorg ) of Karnataka is one of the many Tibetan settlements in India. To be precise, this was the first such refugee settlement established way back in. Arrival at Kabini & check in to Hotel. Kabini the most famous wildlife destination located at Karnataka. Kabini is actually a river flowing through 3 national parks viz, Bandipur, Nagorhole and Madhumati.

Day 04: Kabini Local sightseeing

Day 01: Bangalore – Coorg (6 Hrs)

On arrival take an immediate transfer to Coorg. Arrival & check in at Hotel. Kodagu, also called Coorg, is a district in Karnataka. Coorg is known for its hospitability of people and beautiful scenery. Tourists get fascinated by colourful scenery, wooded slopes, undulating landscape and quaint villages of Coorg.

Day 02: Coorg

After Breakfast Enjoy some of the Optional Activities . Coorg is an ideal place for outdoor activities, food and shopping. Trekking: Coorg has many verdant trekking routes in the midst of forests and hills. Golf: Avid golfers can tee off at the 9-hole course of Virajpet. Angling: Valanoor is the backwater of the river Cauvery & angling can be enjoyed here. White Water Rafting: There are few good camps around Coorg that offer rafting down the Cauvery river. Shopping: Some of the popular items to buy are coffee, honey, spices, cardamom, pepper, pineapple papads and oranges ( season). Coorgi silk saree are also very famous and they have a different style of wearing them.

Day 03: Coorg Local Sightseeing

After Breakfast move to visit the sightseeing around Medikeri including Abbey Falls – Abbey Falls, 8 km from Madikeri. The roar of the falls can be heard from the main road, from where a path goes through lovely coffee and cardamom plantations right up to them. The chirping of innumerable birds which are easier heard then seen, fill the air with sweet music, Omkareshwar Temple – Located at the heart of the Town, Omkareshwara temple was built by king Lingarajendra in 1820. The temple has both Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. He brought a Shivalinga from Kashi, and the temple was built . Museum, Raja’s Seat – This is a small square in brick and mortar of four pillars bridged by arches, enhanced by beautiful surroundings. This spot was a favorite place of recreation for the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west..Medikeri Fort – This fort was first built by Mudduraja in the last quarter of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. There is a famous Lord Ganesha temple known as “Kote ganapathi” just at the main entrance of the fort.

Day 04: Coorg – Kabini (3 Hrs Drive)

After Breakfast proceed to Kabini. Day 01: Arrive at Cochin & local

Wedged between the Western Ghats on the East and the Arabian Sea on the West, the narrow strip of land known as Kerala is a destination of a lifetime .Arrival & Check in to hotel. Cover the local sightseeing of Cochin including visit to various islands of Cochin like Mattenchery Island – Mattancherry is primarily a trading city, famous for its thriving Gujarati settlement brought to the city in the 16th and 17th centuries by the spice trade.Fort Kochi (Old Kochi)- Even a casual stroll through Fort Kochi located in the port city of Kochi in Kerala is enough to make you feel transported to another world and time. Since Fort Cochin was under the possession of the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British at different points of time, the region still bear the influence of European architecture. Welingdon Island – Headquarters of the Southern Naval Command of India, The Island is named after Lord Willingdon, a British Viceroy to India etc. You will see Jewish Synagogue – At the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town lies the synagogue of the white Jews near Mattancherry palace. The synagogue is now a fascinating mixture of shops, warehouses and spice auction rooms, Dutch Palace & Museum – The Dutch palace at Mattancherry was actually built by the Portuguese and presented to the Cochin Raja in AD 1555. The main attractions of the palace lie in its wall murals that depict the scenes from the Ramayana. Day 04: Thekkady – Kumarakom

Check out & move for the Elephant Ride & then proceed to Kumarakom. Arrival & check in.
